High-rate data recorder for the US army

This unique product was made for the US army in partnership with Honeywell.

It was a data recorder with a special scanner. The tape was mounted on an air-cushion to reduce wear, as it ran at high speed.

The project was ended when Berlin Wall fell and the equipment was no longer required by the army.
