The star of the show was the new CLASSIC DAC II in good company with a whole Nagra CLASSIC kit. The Acoustic Solid turntable was mounted with a Nagra MC-6 cartridge connected to a CLASSIC PHONO.
The attendees were blown away by the quality of the sound, both digital and analog. A hallmark of all Nagra electronics offer this unique blend of accuracy and musicality – a magical but elusive combination to achieve.
The second set up featured a Nagra Seven, that played through a TUBE DAC and a CLASSIC INT. This was a really great match with the Seidenton speakers and the Aurender N200 network transport. Seidenton speakers are designed and built Switzerland by Patrick Nyffenger. It started as a hobby to build his own personal speakers but Seidenton is now fast becoming recognized for the sonic attributes of their speaker line-up. The speakers are very balanced and musical, easy to drive and relaxed, they offered a great match for the Nagra CLASSIC AMP.
What a nice way to finish 2023! Listening sessions lasted late in the evening and gave us a warm feeling in contrast with the heavy snow outside.

AUDIO LOUNGE EVENT IN LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM
Nagra’s London dealer, Audio Lounge London, hosted an Asia Cup Polo event.
We were lucky to meet the legendary and Grammy award winning recording engineer, Tony Faulkner.
The feature system was comprised of NAGRA HD electronics, including our latest offering, the HD PHONO. LP playback was via an SME 60 turntable and SME Series VA tonearm fitted with an Ortofon MC A95 cartridge. Speakers were the standout Rockport Technologies AVIOR II. The entire system was tied together with Siltech cables.
Again, our partner Qobuz gave us this great opportunity to have one of our playlist on their platform.
It’s a pleasure for us to share with you some warming music for this Winter, among which William Tell Overture, as a wink to our Swissness, Simon & Garfunkel, The Dave Brubeck Quartet, or Marlena Shaw, live from Montreux.
